Parents Press: Parents Press is a locally owned and operated monthly newspaper published for Bay Area families. Their website also has useful information and helpful guidance for the Bay Area parent.

Oakland Public Library: The Oakland Public Library offers mant services and events for young children, including library cards for kids, extensive collections of multi-ethnic chidlren's literature, storytelling times, arts and crafts, and much more.

SF Gate: Looking for things to do around the Bay Area with your children? Check out the San Francisco Chronicle's guide to events and activities.

BANANAS: BANANAS is a non-profit service based in the Bay Area that specializes in providing free parenting information and workshops. They also provide referrals to babysitters, in-home caregivers, nannies and playgroups.

Berkeley Parents Network: The Berkeley Parents Network is a newsletter and online communuity of East Bay parents sharing ideas, thoughts, advice and experiences. Topics on the message boards tend to vary from school recommendations and toy safety warnings.

State of California: This is the site for the State of California's Community Care Licensing Division. This state agency is in charge of monitoring the safety and legal compliance of all child care facilities in the state. Visit the site to see some of the criteria we, and all other centers, must meet.

National Child Care Information Center: The National Child Care Information Center (NCCIC) is a service of the Administration for Children and Families, under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services). This website is a national clearinghouse for early care and education information.

Kids Health: Kids Health is a site that offers parents some helpful ideas on children's health issues. As always, websites dedicated to health issues are supplementary only, and all immediate concerns about your child's health should be directed to a licensed physician

Prepare.org: Because we live in "earthquake country," it is important to be aware of and prepare for emergencies. The National Red Cross provides valuable information on preparedness, with special sections dedicated to preparing children for disasters, and how to help them if a disaster should strike.
